Sparks NV: Our clubs in Sparks and Carson City will change their name effective February 1st to “Fitness For 10.” “The name change is necessary due to the fact that many people don’t believe that our memberships are only $10 dollars per month. We lowered our prices a while back and found people to be very skeptical and expecting a catch or hidden fees,” said John Gutierrez partner.
The price change, according to Gutierrez, is designed to break down price barriers, and to bring in people who wouldn’t normally go to a health club. “This definitely expands our market, which we feel is a good business decision in a competitive market. It also makes fitness and a healthy lifestyle at a first class club affordable which we feel very passionate about,” said Gutierrez.
The Fitness For 10 partners are planning to franchise this model of low cost high value across the country. “The model is a proven winner and we’ll offer extraordinary support to our franchisees to insure their success,” said Steve Main, partner.
The current locations of the Fitness For 10 clubs are in Sparks (Lincoln Way off Sparks Boulevard), and two in Carson City (Fairview and Research Way).
