When is my Administration Fee drafted?
The $30 non-refundable Administration Fee will be billed 3 months from your join date, on the same day as your monthly dues, and for every subsequent year that you remain a member. This fee is billed in ADDITION to your monthly dues.

How do I cancel my dues membership?
Submit a written request to your original home club. Verbal cancellations will NOT be accepted.

  • If you bill on the 1st of the month, your notice must be received before the 16th of the previous month. If your notice is received on the on the 16th (if billing on the 1st), your monthly dues and Admin Fee (if applicable) will be drafted for that month
  • If you bill on the 16th of the month, your notice must be received before the 1st of whichever month you wish to cancel by. If your notice is received on the 1st or after (if billing on 16th) your monthly dues and Admin Fee (if applicable) will be drafted for that month.

*If you purchased a 1-year minimum term membership, you may cancel early by submitting a $50 cancellation fee along with your written notice.  Member is responsible for any back dues, admin fees, return item fees, and bank charges prior to cancellation.  Once any minimum term has been met, your membership will continue on a monthly basis until the aforementioned cancellation request has been received.  In the absence of such notice monthly dues and admin fee shall continue.   (All Basic Term, VIP and VIP+ memberships have a 1-Year Minimum Term)  Pre-Paid memberships cannot be cancelled.

What day of the month will my dues be drafted?
  • If the membership is purchased on the 8th – 22nd your monthly dues will automatically bill either on, or shortly after, the 1st of every month.
  • If the membership is purchased on the 23rd – 7th your monthly dues will automatically bill either on, or shortly after, the 16th of every month.

*If the billing date lands on a weekend or holiday the draft will not be processed until the following business day, never before.

What is the minimum age to work out at Fitness For 10?
The minimum age to work out at FF10 is 12 years old with a parent & 14 years old by him/her self (cosigner must be on file for both).

What is a ‘Return Item Fee’?
A Return Item Fee is $25 fee that is assessed for all returned checks, credit cards, and automatic drafts.

If I buy a $10 monthly plan can I upgrade later to the $20 plan?
Yes. You can upgrade at anytime, you would just need to sign for the 1yr term & we would need to issue a VIP card. There is no additional fee to upgrade.

If I purchased a 1-year min term plan, will it expire after the year is fulfilled?
No. After your 1 year has been fulfilled your membership continues on a month-to-month basis and you may cancel without having to pay an early termination fee.

Can a VIP member’s guest tan for free also?
No, tanning is only available for VIP members.

Can I sign up if I do not have a credit card or bank account?
Yes, you have 3 options.

  1. Purchase a 1-year paid in full membership
  2. Provide us with a RELOADABLE pre-paid debit card
  3. Have a friend/family authorize us to use their billing info on your membership (signature and ID will be required)

  1.  Purchase a Paid in Full membership (1 year max).
  2.  Have a friend/family authorize us to use their billing information for your membership. They must be present to sign the agreement and to show their ID.
  3.  Pay by statements (a $5 fee will be added to your monthly dues)
If I buy a Basic membership, can I upgrade later to a VIP membership?
Yes, you can upgrade at anytime by signing a new agreement for the 1 year VIP membership. There are no additional fees to upgrade.

Can a VIP member’s guest also tan for free?
No

If my membership has a 1 year term, will it automatically expire after the year is fulfilled?
No. After your initial term, your account will convert into a month to month billing cycle. See terms and conditions regarding cancellations for term memberships.

When is my Yearly Maintenance Fee drafted?
The non-refundable Yearly Maintenance Fee will be drafted on June 15th of every year as long as you are a member.

How do I cancel my monthly/Term membership?
All cancellations must be mailed to our Billing Department. Verbal cancellations will NOT be accepted.

*Month to month agreements may be canceled at anytime with proper notification. Term memberships may be canceled, but are subject to a $59 cancel fee.  Members are responsible for paying any outstanding balances prior to cancellation.

What is the minimum age to work out at Fitness For 10?
A parent/legal guardian must be present at all times with children 12-13 years old. Children 14 to 17 years old may work out by themselves, but a parent/legal guardian’s signature must be on file.

What is a ‘Return Item Fee’?
Any time a payment is returned (check, credit card, automatic draft), a $25 fee is added to the account.

If I don’t tan, bring guests or use the 24 hour access, can I downgrade my membership?
Absolutely, you can downgrade or upgrade anytime with a small administration fee. (Requires $30.00 plus tax administration fee, signing new terms of membership and a key tag change.)

Your membership is for as long as you would like it to be.  Your membership continues on a month-to-month basis and only requires a 60 day written notice to cancel. This means you only have to pay for (2) months of your dues to cancel without any penalties or early termination fees. No, guests do not have the added privileges that the members have. (i.e. 24 hour access, tanning, dual club…)

If I buy a $10 monthly plan can I upgrade later to the $24 plan?
Yes.  You can upgrade at anytime, you would just need to re-sign the new terms of your membership type and pay the difference of your current monthly dues to the upgraded plan.

Example – (Economy $10.00 upgrades to the Premier $24.00 plan) – Cost is $14.00 plus tax = $14.98.

Also, keep in mind your annual fee is subject to change on your anniversary date to reflect the appropriate fee. We will re- issue a new keycard and you are ready to go.  There are no additional fees to upgrade.

The non-refundable Annual or Club Improvement Fee will be billed the next month from your join date. If your join date is the 1st through the 15th you are billed your Annual/Club Improvement Fee on the 5th of the following month. If your join date is the 16th through the end of the month you are billed your Annual/Club Improvement Fee on the 15th of the following month. This fee is billed in ADDITION to your monthly dues.

I heard it was very difficult to cancel a gym membership, so how do I cancel my membership?
Actually cancelling a FF10 membership is not that difficult at all, just follow these procedures, “submit a written cancellation request to your original home club”.  Verbal cancellations, e-mails, faxes and phone calls are NOT acceptable.

  • All cancellation requests require a 60 day notice. If you ever decide to cancel you are responsible for your (2) remaining monthly dues and Annual/Club Improvement Fees (if applicable) that will be drafted for that last two months.
  • If you prepaid for a 1-year membership, you may cancel, however FF10 is not obligated to repurchased any remaining time left on membership or refund any prepaid dues, services or programs.

Member is responsible for any back dues, admin fees, return item fees and bank charges prior to cancellation.

Can I purchase a membership for someone else?
Yes.  A Fitness For $10 membership makes a great gift!  Contact club personnel for more details.

As a VIP member, how many guests/visitors can I bring to the club?
You may bring a maximum of one guest/visitor to the club. Additional guests during the same visit must pay a $10.00 drop-in rate.

What is included on a VIP membership?
  • Access to all Fitness For $10 locations
  • Unlimited Tanning
  • Free Guest Privileges You can bring 1 person with you, per workout, every time you work out.  It can be the same person, or a different person, but that guest cannot come without you and they must meet the age requirement.
  • Access to the ActivTrax kiosk   An online nutrition and training software.  It will print you out a daily workout routine,  it will show you videos if you’re not sure how to do an exercise and it will give you meal plan suggestions.  For more information, visit www.activtrax.com
